What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure for your skin. Using the SkinPen device, thin needles make tiny holes in the top layer of your skin. The damage helps stimulate your skin’s healing process, so it produces more collagen and elastin. These proteins keep your skin firm and smooth.

Why SkinPen?

While there are multiple microneedling and microchanneling devices on the market, SkinPen by Crown Aesthetics is the first FDA-cleared microneedling device in the US. It has been clinically proven to safely and effectively fight the appearance of neck wrinkles and facial acne scars for ages 22 and up.

Does it hurt?

A numbing cream is applied prior to the procedure. There may be some mild discomfort during the procedure which lasts about 15-20 minutes.

What areas can be treated?

The SkinPen is most commonly used to treat the face and neck.

Is there any downtime after treatment?

Most patients can return to their normal skin care routine and activities within 24 hours.

Will I see the results immediately?

Most patients see an improvement in their skin within the first month of treatment. In clinical trials, skin has shown to improve for up to 6 months after a SkinPen treatment. Depending on what is being treated, it typically takes 3-6 treatments to achieve desired results. Once desired results have been achieved, ongoing maintenance will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
